This is scandal

"...But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea..." Matthew 18:6, Douay-Rheims

Scandal is a picture, action, or a statement which in or of itself may not be sinful but may cause another to sin.

Thylane Blondeau a 10 year old daughter of French TV personality and children’s clothing designer Veronika Loubry (guess who Veronika’s favorite model is?) and former pro-soccer player Patrick Blondeau. I won't post any photos of this young thing but you may go here. I would not want any child of mine to appear in a magazine dressed as that. Her youth is being stolen from her.

With no little hubris a European remarks at the beginning of a site dedicated to Thylane Blondeau ... don’t be bothered
(e-mail) ur accusatory comments are no doubt from americans- as the world knows, americans are insane. w/ the judgmental attitude, obsessed w/calling everything kiddie porn and innate inability to mind their own business.

Why my concern? I am concerned because I am a grandfather with mostly all granddaughters. I would not wish for these "models" to influence them in any way. The constant exposure to TV shows which subtly indocrtinate children that bad is good and worse is better. Even shows on the Disney channel use this incrimentlism as a part of an agenda.

This attitude has spread to the Church. I mention this because it is near and dear to my heart. The Religious education teacher has a daughter who occasionally returned to assist in religious education. Low cut dresses, backless dresses, short skirts, anything which was too revealing remains the clothes pick of the day. When approached her mother simply dismissed it saying, "It is what they wear now-a-days".

Question #1. Is Thylane Blondeau being scandalous? The answer must be, yes.
Question #2. Are these photographs being employed for scandalous reasons? The answer is again yes. What can be the result of such scandal...

72 charged in online child porn ring

(CBS News)...Seventy-two people have been charged--of which 52 were arrested--in an worldwide online child pornography enterprise, the Justice Department said Wednesday.

Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Department Janet Napolitano announced the unsealing of three indictments and one complaint charging 72 individuals in the online ring.

Holder spoke of Operation Delego, an investigation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that was launched about two years ago, that resulted in the prosecution.

"This operation targeted hundreds of individuals, in countries around the world," Holder said, "for their alleged participation in 'Dreamboard' - a private, members-only online bulletin board that was created and operated to promote pedophilia, and to encourage the sexual abuse of very young children."

According to Holder, members of Dreamboard would trade graphic images and videos of adults sexually abusing children and create a vast library of images depicting the abuse...

Did any photos of Thylane Blondeau make it into the photo library of these perverts? I do not know, but I do know that this is the sort of thing which induces, and encourages paedophiles. I have inmates on my case load that have to have every children's clothing advert removed from the daily paper before they are allowed to read it.

It is something to think about.

Here is an alternative for modesty. Jumpinbloomers.com
