The Secret of Knighthood

In her mission to rescue France from the English Jehanne la Pucelle lamented the lack of Chivalry amongst the knights and soldiers she was charged with. Every effort was made by her to restore chivalry to her men. Perhaps it was this selflessness which helped to inspire her soldiers to great feats, their only reward being eternal happiness. In this same way great cathedrals were built not to satisfy a master masons grand schemes for immortality, but for the glorification of God.
