One last thing for today

There has been a loud call for the public excommunication of Nancy Pelosi printed in the media lately, as if this is a punishment by Spanish inquisitors. The excommunication of a political figure like Nancy Pelosi is not a power trip by Catholics who wish to see her suffer, and it is not a slap on the hand. That person has already removed herself from the Church by her actions.
Excommunication is meant to help that person understand that she by being obstinate in her disobedience to Church teachings by proclaiming heretical views, and that her soul is in jeopardy of hell. That is all. We as Catholics should not wish anyone to remain outside the fold. Let us pray for her soul, and that the Holy Spirit comes to her and reminds her of her duty as a Catholic to defend life.
Dieu le Roy,
